Nicolet College Named a 2020 Most Promising Place to Work

We are pleased to announce that the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education (Diverse) have selected Nicolet as one of fifteen 2020 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges (PPWCC).

The annual award recognizes community and technical college commitments to diversity through best-in-class student and staff recruitment and retention practices, inclusive learning and working environments, and meaningful community service and engagement opportunities. The national study employs a web-based survey approach to obtain information from NISOD member institutions. A multipart, weighted algorithm is used to classify the responding institutions.

"Everything we strive to do at Nicolet strengthens the lives of our students, fellow staff, and, ultimately, our communities. I’m inspired by our students, their stories, and their commitment to education.  I'm grateful to do such meaningful and rewarding work in the Northwoods - a place that I truly love."

Work in the Beautiful Northwoods

Although this video was created for students, we invite you to take a virtual tour of Nicolet to better understand our educational offerings and get a feel for our campus located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

There are seven academic buildings nestled among 280 acres of natural forest along the shores of beautiful Lake Julia. You’ll be able to enjoy this beauty on a daily basis; walking among the fall leaves, watching the snow gently fall outside your window, catching lunch with co-workers by the lake. It all adds to the experience of being part of the Nicolet College community.
